Everyday, so this site is becoming closer to the vision of the kind of site I wanted to use while running an RC club. There are still some aspects that will improve over time and make this a great site for every club and racer. Thank you to all the people who are testing and making suggestions to improve this.
This month there has been a lot of work around Lap Timing systems with:
- Mini Race Challenge - This is a cool idea to use RFID for nano scale (1:76-1:43) scale cars. I think this system is ready. The last part of this work is making sure the light system works. I personally want one of these to start my own nano scale RC club ;)
- iRace - there was a request to add iRace by Kamtech Modelport. This is a system mainly used in the UK and not something we see a lot of here. This is a work in progress and I am looking forward to having this up and running.
- AMBRc - There is some work around this - but it is early days and I have no system to test it out - let me know if you can help?
There has been a lot of cleanup in the Race Day Event pages based on testing in the real world. For example, fixes for getting a refreshed member list without a page refresh; or cleanups of the Global Settings make a big difference.
A lastly a refresh of the forums section so it is more like a proper forum. This is still early days and the list of categories still need work - suggestions welcome! - and I look forward to seing how people use this.
